Bharathanatyam Performer, Choreographer and Teacher
Vidhya is an accomplished dancer who began her foray into Bharathanatyam with encouragement from her late grandmother Vishalam. Her training began at the tender age of 4, under the tutelage of Gurus Sangeetha Vidushi Smt. Saroja Srinath and Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi exponent Dr. Smt. Siri Rama at Kanaka Sabha Performing Arts Centre in Mumbai, India. Vidhya considers herself very fortunate to have learnt under her Gurus. Vidhya mastered the art form gaining the coveted “Singar Mani” title from the Sur Singar Samsad and the “Nritya Shiromani” title at Cuttack Mahotsav 2020, to name a couple. Growing up, Vidhya was an enthusiastic participant in dance competitions winning many prizes and accolades including a Govt of India CCRT. Senior Dance scholarship and recognition as Doordarshan graded artist. Vidhya has performed at numerous prestigious venues in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the USA as a solo dancer and in leading roles in group performances.
She also promotes the art form by training young budding artists in Bharatanatyam at her school, Nrithya Vidhya Niketan.
